When it comes to automotive enthusiasts, there is really no lack of choices for them. However, most of them come down to simply slamming the name or logo of an automaker (or that of a driver or racing series) on a current timepiece and calling it a day. That, however, is not the path that Bvlgari Maserati watches have followed with their new range.
In fact, if you want to see the Trident logo on the casebook, you need to turn the watch around. Bvlgari watches have instead chosen to allow the design and the mechanical accuracy they encases speak to the same themes that they share with their new automotive partner.
The Octo Maserati watches are designed around highly sophisticated Calibre GG7800 automatic chronograph movements in which crafts themselves at the Manufacture de Haute Horlogerie Bulgari in the city of Le Sentier in Switzerland. Rather than exhibiting time through the traditional combination of hands sweeping over the dial, the Bvlgari Octo Maserati watch places a jumping hour window at the 12 o’clock position and regressive displays for the minutes, date as well as chronograph counters.
The 45-jewel movement is supported by a 38-hour power reserve which is encased in a 45-millimeter brushed steel case having a scratch-proof, anti-glare sapphire crystal back and front. The blue-lacquered dial is intended to recall a Maserati’s grille, and the piece is attached to the wrist by a blue calfskin band having butterfly clasp. These watches, apart from highly sophisticated, are also unique in their styles and designs. So the closest we are likely to get is the high-resolution pictures in the gallery as well as press releases promoting these watches, making them die-to-buy items offering perfect style and elegance. If it is not a Bvlgari Maserati, you are bound to fall for some other model but there is no way you can escape the charm of outstanding Bvlgari watches.
